Artist Bio

Dulce is a California-based artist currently studying Studio Art at San Jose State

University. She previously earned an Associate degree for Transfer in Studio Arts from

Hartnell College. Working primarily in painting, she uses oil and watercolor to explore

landscape, seascapes, color, atmosphere and emotion. Her work is strongly influenced

by nature and her interest in how changes in light, weather, and color can transform the

emotional character of a place. As she continues developing her artistic practice, she is

experimenting with ways of moving beyond traditional representation while maintaining

a connection to recognizable imagery and the natural world.
